IMF, Ghana to announce staff-level agreement today

Today, Tuesday, December 13, is scheduled to mark the conclusion of staff-level negotiations between Ghana and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a $3 billion bailout.

The agreement will be made known at a joint press conference Tuesday morning at 10am by the two parties.

This, is set to open up the possibility of the Fund Board considering and eventually approving a program for the nation.
