Covid-19 Vaccine: There’s Nothing To Fear-Afigya Kwabre North MP Assures
The Member of Parliament for Afigya Kwabre North, Collins Adomako Mensah has assured Ghanaians that the Covid-19 vaccines are safe for use.
Ghana received it share of the coronavirus vaccine yesterday, Wednesday February 24 at the Kotoka International Airport as communicated by President Akufo-Addo weeks ago.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Information said “The Government of Ghana Is taking delivery of 600,000 doses of AstraZencca Covid-19 Vaccine made by the serum Institute of India (Covishield) today February 24th 2021.
It said this is the first consignment of vaccines acquired through the Covid-19 Vaccine Global Access Facility (COVAX) which Ghana, among 92 countries has signed unto.
It explained further that the Covid-19 vaccine will be conducted in phases among segmented population.
The arrival of the Vaccine has fuel argument between some Ghanaians about its safety.
Speaking on Ghone TV’s GHtoday, Mr. Adomako Mensah assured his constituents of its safety and promised to be the the first person to take a shot in his constituency.
I will not be surprise if people have some little reservations about it. But I’m sure the government of Ghana and the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has done a thorough job on this particular vaccine. I’m just hoping that more education will go on be done to sentitize our people.

“I will be proud to have my in the full glow of everybody especially my constituents so that they know that there is nothing so fearful about it. It is the only way as at now to protect themselves.
