Gossiping Can Increase The Spread Of Covid-19- Passengers Warned

Head of Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) Prof Kwabena Anan has warn passengers to stop gossiping to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Professor Anan said passengers must avoid gossiping to reduce serious exposure adding that when we are capable of adhering to the protocols the call to reduce the number of passengers would not be considered.

Adding his voice to the call over Kwahu Easter to be suspended, he described it as unnecessary following the rise of Covid-19 cases in the country.

Speaking on Agoo fm Morning Show in the Eastern Region, Prof Kwabena Annan said we all know the importance of tourism but is not sure the Kwahu Easter is important than preventing the spread of Covid-19. People from different areas will troop to the area, if care is not taken, we will start another wave again.

“Uncontrolled movements and interactions are the major cause of the spread therefore will advise that, people should boycott the Kwahu Easter Festival and get serious over the fight against Covid-19”

According to him, the most important thing to do as a nation is to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols adding it is the key to the fight against the virus, any country that will fail to do so will suffer.
