A/R: Man Kills Brother Over Political Affiliation

A man believed to be in his late 20s, Ezudeen Awal has been stabbed to death by his brother following political debate in Suame, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Confirming the news to pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo, the sister of the deceased Aisha said his brother died in the faith of politics.

The sister explaining further said, Awal is the only family member who supports the NPP, the rest are strong supporters of the NDC.

Adding that the just ended 2020 elections raised the misunderstanding between Awal’s uncle, himself and the children of his uncle leading to his untimely death.

According Aisha, she was called around 11pm yester night to be informed about the misunderstanding going on at their family house at Old Suame, only to be told Awal has been stabbed several times to death.

Aisher believes even though the family of Awal were having property issues, the politics aspect fueled the anger as this is not the first time they are having issues with him concerning his political affiliation.

Aminu, the killer of the deceased and Awal’s Uncle are currently in the Suame police custody  while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye teaching hospital morgue.
