Police Confirm Death Of Suspect In Prof Benneh’s Murder
Police has confirm the death of James Nana Wamba, the lead suspect in the murder of Professor Emmanuel Yaw Benneh.
According to the police, he passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020, after he was admitted for treatment at the police hospital.
Sources within the police say the suspect was first rushed to the Police hospital for treatment after the court hearing on October 14, 2020, where he was treated and discharged.
He, however, died on his second admission. The cause of death is not yet known.
Wamba was one of four who were initially arrested on suspicion of the murder.
The late Professor’s cleaner said that he and another person killed Prof Benneh because he resisted a robbery attempt.
Following his confession and naming of his accomplices, the state dropped charges against the other three.
