Break: NDC Supporters face-off with Police in protest against EC – Watch Video

Some angry supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have once again massed up on the street of the Electoral Commission of Ghana headquarters in Accra to protest against what they called a flawed election results.

Supporters clad in black and red attire were seen chanting “No Mahama No Peace” as they clash with the police.

They are demanding that the Commission reverses its decision to announce Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the President Elect of the Republic of Ghana.

Adding that they are looking forward for the Electoral Commission to announce John Dramani Mahama as the President Elect as they believe he won the just ended 2020 election

Cookie Tee Leaves EIB Network For Media General

Radio and Television Presenter, Shirley Emma Tibilla popularly known as Cookie Tee has joined Media General, operators of TV3, 3FM, OnuaFM, OnuaTV and a host of other stations scattered across the country.

She joins the long list of on-air personalities who have moved from EIB Network to Media General in recent time.

Before her move, Cookietee was the host of GHOne TV’s ‘Life Tales’ show and the host of The Zone’ on Starr FM.

Cookietee confirming the move on her Instagram platform wrote “Apart from Rain and Taxes, the only constant thing in this world is CHANGE. . . . .

“I embrace this new challenge with God being my strength. . . . . 🙏🏽

House girl caught feeding baby with her urine (Watch Video)

You maybe wondering what will make a person drink his/ her own urine not to talking about giving to to someone else to drink.

Well, a video sighted by mynewroomgh.com shows a house girl holding a urine in a baby feeding bottle which was allegedly given to a baby she was baby sitting

In the video below, the house girl is seen wearing a pink and black top explaining how she managed to urinate in the feeding bottle.

As to whether she had already given the urine to the baby or was caught on the act, we can’t tell

Fomena MP saga: Law of karma has worked against speaker and Akufo Addo – Banda Mp

The member of parliament for Banda constituency and first Deputy minority whip of parliament Ahmed Ibrahim has said that the law of karma has caught up the speaker of parliament and president elect of the republic H. E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo for sacking Hon Andrew Amoako Asiamah former member of parliament for Fomena in the Ashanti region.

Speaking in an interview with the media in parliament, Hon Ahmed Ibrahim revealed that, after the speaker prof Aaron Machael Oquaye upon instructions from the president sacked the law maker, he did not allow as any member of the house to comment on the issue.

He said, as it stands now, the former mp for Fomena is the most important member of the house and per what happened among the speaker, president and the sacked mp, can they look into his face and ask him to join the New Patriotic Party?

WAEC releases 2020 BECE results

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results.

“The West African Examination Council wishes to inform its publics that it has released provisional results of candidates who sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for school candidates, 2020.”

The council in a statement signed by its Head of Public Affairs, Agnes Teye Cudjoe, indicated that the results will be dispatched to the schools through the District Directors of Education.

“The Council has hosted the results online and candidates who so desire may access their results at the council’s websites,” it added.

It further revealed that the subject results of 417 candidates have been cancelled for “bringing foreign materials into the examination hall and engaging in collusion.”

‘I am joining NPP in next Parliament’- Fomena MP finally breaks silence

The member of Parliament-elect for Fomena, Andrew Amoako Asiamah has spoken for the first time after he was elected as an independent representative for the constituency.

The MP who has been at the center of controversy in the 7th Parliament was asked to vacate his seat, upon directives by the NPP to the Speaker, after he decided to go independent following what he described as unfair treatment meted to him by the NPP.

But following his re-election, speculations had rife that the NPP was in talks with him to join the party again, as Parliament hangs in the balance on which party will form majority.

But speaking to the parliament press corps, the Fomena MP said he’s already made the decision to go back to the NPP and that he believes the party has leant lessons from previous mistakes.

He also rubbished claims that he’s made demands to the government before agreeing to join the party.

Parliament suspends consideration of Public University Bill

Parliament has today suspend the consideration stage of public university bill, 2020 until stake holders present its inputs for deliberations.

The bill was laid in parliament by education minister. Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh  On  Tuesdays,3rd November,2020

Members of the academia including UTAG, GRASAG, Vice Chancellors among others have kicked against the bill arguing it threatens academic freedom and autonomy of public universities.

Speaking in an interview with the parliamentary press corps today, the chairman on education committee Hon. William Agyapong Quaittoo  said, the purpose of the bill is to provide establishment, governance arrangements and management of public university in the country.

The objective of the bill will ensure government frame works to appoints 15 governing council, memberships of the council, chancellor and council chairperson. He added.

According to him, the bill remains suspended until all stakeholders agree with the content.

“The consideration at the plenary has been put on hold until we receive their (UTAG) inputs on the new Bill”.

 

 

A/R: Man Kills Brother Over Political Affiliation

Awal

A man believed to be in his late 20s, Ezudeen Awal has been stabbed to death by his brother following political debate in Suame, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

Confirming the news to pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo, the sister of the deceased Aisha said his brother died in the faith of politics.

The sister explaining further said, Awal is the only family member who supports the NPP, the rest are strong supporters of the NDC.

Adding that the just ended 2020 elections raised the misunderstanding between Awal’s uncle, himself and the children of his uncle leading to his untimely death.

According Aisha, she was called around 11pm yester night to be informed about the misunderstanding going on at their family house at Old Suame, only to be told Awal has been stabbed several times to death.

Aisher believes even though the family of Awal were having property issues, the politics aspect fueled the anger as this is not the first time they are having issues with him concerning his political affiliation.

Aminu, the killer of the deceased and Awal’s Uncle are currently in the Suame police custody  while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye teaching hospital morgue.

 

 

 

 

 

Criminalize Election Prophesies In Ghana-Journalist To Government (Watch Video)

Broadcast journalist with the Angel Broadcasting Network(ABN), Nana Adjei Obrempong SP has appeal to Government to criminalize prophesies concerning elections in Ghana.

His comment comes after most prophesies about elections failed.

Amidst the 2020 general Elections, some pastors prophesied about who will win the presidential race, they include Prophet Badu Kobi, Naigel Gaizie, Owusu Bempah, Johnson Adu Boahen among others

But speaking to Captain Smart  on the Angel Morning show, the broadcast journalist argued that Prophecies must be guided by law.

According to him, there should be a law that bans any election prophesies in Ghana hence any prophet who will prophesy about elections must be jailed.

He continued to argue that these prophesies are recipe t chaos as most politicians now believes in prophets and spiritualism more than vote casting.

Mr. Obrempong SP emphasized that until government criminalizes the “so called” predict and win, it will not stop.
