Suriname Ambassador Presents Credentials to South African President

Her Excellency Fidelia Graand-Galon, the Ambassador of the Republic of Suriname to the Republic of Ghana, on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, presented her Letter of Credence to His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of the Republic of South Africa. The event also marked the presentation of the Letter of Recall of her Predecessor.

Following her appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Africa, with residence in Accra, Ghana, by the government of South Africa, Ambassador Fidelia Graand-Galon underscored Suriname’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with South Africa.

In her speech, she expressed the intention to utilize available opportunities to establish a mutually beneficial relationship. She stated, “We are here to work together with the people of South Africa under your leadership, especially Chieftaincy and in minerals to make the world a better place.”

After the presentation of Credentials by the various Ambassadors and High Commissioners designate, President Ramaphosa congratulated the Heads of Mission and assured them of ensuring that the environment is conducive enough for the smooth running of their tour of duty. The President of the Republic of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa received credentials from 15 Heads of Mission.
