Accra: 11 children drown to death after Boat capsizes in Faanaa-Bortianor

Eleven children drowned at Faanaa, a community in the Bortianor area of Greater Accra on Wednesday.

The children were reported to have drowned on their way home from school.

There were 12 individuals in all on the boat at the time of the tragedy, including the boat owner.

One succeeded in swimming to safety with the help of a rescue.

One was initially missing, and the body was discovered on Thursday morning following a search.
