Qatar 2022: Thrilling back as Cameroon draws with Serbia
After recovering from two goals down to tie with Serbia in a thrilling six-goal game in Group G, Cameroon maintained their chances of making it to the World Cup’s round of 16.
Jean-Charles Castelletto gave Cameroon the lead, but Strahinja Pavlovic and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic answered to give Serbia the lead at the break.
Serbia looked to be cruising to a victory that would have given them a good chance to advance after Aleksandar Mitrovic added a third goal.
Vincent Aboubakar’s incredible assist and Eric Maxim Choupo-equalizer Moting’s three minutes later helped the Indomitable Lions come back.
Dusan Tadic set Mitrovic up for a chance in the closing minutes, but he missed wide.
Both teams lost their initial game, which puts them two points behind Brazil and Switzerland, who play later on Monday (16:00 GMT).
