The Saga between Otumfour Osei TuTu II and social media commentator, Twene Jonas seem not to be at the cooler stage as the commentator has refused to render apology to the King.

During a dialogue on illegal mining in Kumasi last week Otumfour Osei Tutu II charge that about 30 percent of the people in the room are involved in galamsey activity in the country. The King therefore warned them to stop, for he was minded to name and shame them!

This comment triggered the loudmouth social media critic Twene Jonas. In a video he said “Every Chief who sit down for Galamseyers to destroy their water bodies is a fool” When a viewer prompted him not to joke with Asantehene, he insulted the said the viewer and said “ Asantehene is human being and that if he claims to know the people who are mining the gold illegally and destroying the water bodies, he should get the arrested and save the water, If not his title as a Chief is meaningless and Useless” I repeat he is Useless- He said

This did not sit well with some leaders and other people who believes his choice of words were uncalled for. Others sided with him.

He was therefore advised to apologize but has refused to do so. He said that no amount of lies can defeat a single truth and the Otumfour himself is aware that whatever comment he made about the illegal mining operation is the truth.

The Bechem Traditional leaders have invoked curses on Twene Jonas for disrespecting the Asantehene and the entire Ashanti Kingdom.

But speaking with the Ashanti King in New York, Nana Atakora Amaniampong on Kofi TV, he said Twene Jonas is wanted. He explained that he has been declared wanted because he has to go to Ghana to apologize to Asantehene.

He believes Asantehene is a peace maker and will forgive the loudmouth social media commentator.

Police at Akyem Abomosu in the Eastern Region have been captured in a video physically assaulting a suspected notorious robber with a broom.

The Police officers in the video shared can be seen in the video hitting the head of the suspect identified as Olentei multiple times with a broom, while in handcuffs and sitting on a chair.

Starrfm sources say the suspect was arrested two weeks ago after attacking the family of a Pentecost Pastor at Akyem Abomosu Community.

He has reportedly been on the Police wanted list for alleged multiple crimes including robbery, stabbing, and prison custody escape.

The suspect is standing trial in court.

Meanwhile, the local police are being criticized for the manner in which they handled the suspect.

Huge explosion of a fuel tanker that collided with a vehicle at Onyina Nofo in the Ashanti Region on Monday afternoon has left many homeless.

The fire from the explosion swept through the small village torching houses and wreaking havoc in its wake.

Eyewitnesses say the timely intervention of the personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service saved further escalation.

Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO),
Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh told the media that some residents will not have a place to sleep because their houses got burnt.

“I have been here with my team and many people have been rendered homeless. A lot of houses have been burnt. Three people died, including the driver and his mate, as well as a two-year-old,”

“Where the village is situated is at a sharp curve, and so when the tanker negotiated a curve, it just fell to the other side. It could not control itself.

Also, seven persons have sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

NADMO has since provided temporary shelters for the displaced residents.

Highway robbers cause traffic congestion on Monday morning amidst attacking passengers on Koforidua Akyem Kukurantumi road in the Eastern region.

According to reports, these robbers mounted roadblocks pretending to be policemen in road check duty near the Torgbe Shitor road as they attack about 20 passengers. One was shot and rushed to the hospital.

A passenger recounting the incident said the robbers took away Ghc50,000 and other belongings from the passengers including his.

The robbers on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at about 8:00pm, stormed Green Dor Guest House and a nearby filling station, causing damages and took away Ghc137 from the gas filling station Office.

However, the acting Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Command Sargent Francis Gomado mentioned that the night patrol team of the Akyem Tafo District police command took action when the case was report yet before their arrival the robbers escaped.

Some residents in the Abuakwa North Municipality expressed their worry saying robbery in the locality is becoming excessive.

According to them, these robbers could be the same gang that robbed several passengers on Akyem old Tafo to Anyinasin road.

There are therefore pleading with the security service of Akyem Tafo District to tighten their patrol in the locality.

One person has been arrested by the police in Cape Coast at the Central region over the killing of a census trainer Yaw Eyifua Gorman.

The head teacher of Ansapatu Basic School near Effutu was killed on Saturday 22^nd May 2021 in his car on his way back from a census training duty at Cape Coast.

The police in its investigation have arrested one suspect in their custody to assist them with investigations.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Security officials at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital have arrested two suspected blood thieves.

According to the hospital, the suspects were picked at the surgical ward while they attempted to steal several pints of blood.

The statement said the thieves were arrested through special operation and were handed over to the police.

The statement also urged staff of the facility to be vigilant when they see suspicious activity in the hospital and its environs and report the case as such.

Moses, a 25-year-old fashion designer has allegedly committed suicide at Fomena Kwapia in the Adansi North district.

The father of the deceased narrating the ordeal to Angel News monitored by mynewsroomgh.com said he (the father) attended a wedding at Adansi Formena while Moses and his siblings also attended a wedding at Kumasi.

Moses sister returned in the evening without him which they questioned her about his brother.

Her sister then explained Moses did not go to Kumasi with them but attended a different wedding at Adansi Kwapea.

According to his father, at around 10PM in the evening, a stranger called his wife and announced the dead of his son.

Upon arrival Moses was seen sitting with rope on his neck lifeless.

The incident was however reported to Obuasi Akorokeri police station. The body has however been deposited at the government hospital.

Ghana’s Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has said Visual Art Students are the most Creative people in the country.

The MP for Bosomtwe in an interview with Kwame Sefa Kayi on Accra based Peace FM wondered why Visual Art students are downplayed in most of our Senior High Schools.

To him, the perception most people have about them is a fallacy to the extent of denying them admission to pursue Engineering, Architectural and other programms in some Universities.

Dr. Adutwum wondered why a person who can look you in the eye and draw cannot be given the opportunity to pursue programs that are related to his field.

“Someone who can look at you and draw, look at a bridge or car and draw; we say they are not brilliant because they fail to grasp things easily. When you go to a school, you’ll see people pointing fingers at the Visual Arts students. We claim someone who does Visual Arts cannot be an engineer  because the person is not given an opportunity at the University”, he said.

”If this child brings his/her portfolio which shows his great drawing skills, why do you say you won’t let this child do Architecture?”, he cited.

Sighting an example, he said people who have the will to pursue some programs at the university can be given the opportunity to enter while they write some papers to fill the gap. ‘If a Visual arts student want to pursue engineering or architect without Maths background, allow them in while they write Maths and Physics exams to fill gab because they will excel in that field especially with their drawing skills” He Said

Popular Ghanaian fetish priest Nana Kwaku Bonsam has revealed the reason why fetish priestess Patricia Asieduaa popularly known as Nana Agradaa announced her repentance after she was granted bail.

Nana Agradaa addressing the media after spending some days in National Security custody said she has repented from fetishism to worship and serve Jesus Christ.

Agradaa apologized to pastors and people she offended when she did know Christ.

She has also pledged to destroy her gods on Thursday, April 29, 2021 as she is about to start her evangelism work to win souls for Jesus Christ.

But Kwaku Bonsam has argued that Agradaa can burn the things her gods live in, its allowed but cannot burn or destroy the spirit of the gods.

Nana Kwaku Bonsam commenting on Angel Drive Time hosted by Ike De Unpredictable on Angelfm Kumasi, said her sister Nana Agradaa planned her repentance just to win Ghanaians sympathy.

He revealed that the fetish priestess bought a church from Prophet Apae Life some years ago and she has completed with the renovation. According the Kofi oo Kofi priest he is not surprise Agradaa is going into evangelism because she cannot watch her investment go watste.

When asked whether she can still enjoy the things she acquired when she was a fetish priestess, Kwaku bonsam replied yes.

Emphasizing on he not being surprised about her move, Kwaku Bosam said he has 4,932 pastors in the world who comes to him for powers. I can never disclose their names because Jesus Christ is my friend. What if Agradaa still use the gods powers to operate the church? He quizzed

“I will advise her to go in peace because the gods have given her everything that will make life comfortable for her”.

When asked what her followers should do he replied “They should follow her”

President Akuffo-Addo has authorized the Ghana armed forces to commence an operation to remove all persons and logistics involved in destroying Ghana’s water bodies.

A release by the Ministry of Information said the move is to ensure mining within water bodies is immediately stopped. This comes after the Stakeholder Dialogue on Small Scale Mining on April 14-15.

It said two hundred (200) officers of the Ghana Armed Forces are involved in the operation.

The statement added that the operation commenced on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, on the River Pra in the Central and Western regions of Ghana.
