Gospel Gets Swag; Yaw Pee Yaw On This Interesting Piece

Imagine seeing Jesus Christ in skinny jeans and tube shirt with plenty chains on his neck, strolling heaven on gold in heaven!
Picture father Abraham in baggy jeans or ‘medi wo’ (skimpy) shorts ready-to-fight shirt minding his own business at a corner in heaven! You might be shocked!
But there is no need to kick ass when you see such, their reps have already shown us how heaven is going to be.

Gone were the days when ‘men of God’ would wear big suits with suicide-committable, flying ties that scared some of us off to wear suits/jackets. These days, a new memo is out, ordering ‘men of God’ to be judicious of materials they use in sewing their attires. ‘Men of God’ now wear very skinny clothes when propagating the gospel; sometimes impeding their free movement.

The ‘women in gospel’ are almost worse. People might sometimes mistake a gospel show of women to a breast or cleavage-showing party. The angels might sometimes be confused of the sort of women they are sent to bless during service.

I didn’t come to condemn though. I came to tell people in this compound house of how nice it will be to be part of heaven; where class and swag would be the order of the day, with God himself leading the ‘killing’ with swagger dressing, serious body spray and long shoes to match and Jesus still in the crazy jeans and sleeveless tube shirt. As for the angels, I can’t even imagine their dress-code.

Now let me trim it down to my hommy. I’ve not seen him before, but I like him to the core. Prophet Obofour! Oh sorry, Prophet Real Obofour, the founder and leader of APC, the ‘ayakriki ‘ayakrika’ prophet, the man that many of my girlfriends think I look like. The man gets swag. He kills it with brands like Gucci and others. His chains are ‘Shatta Waleic’ and one can see gospel swagism in him. Aboaboa…
The competition becomes keener when you bring angel, eiiiii, sorry o, Arch angel Obinim, to the equation. Nyame mu y3 d3 o (there’s goodness in the gospel o), asuwer! I didn’t swear, for you to come and quote “thou shall not swear” this morning.

We picture God’s character in his people. Their characters depict God’s demeanour and they portray what we shall see in heaven; judging from what these ‘Men of God’ tell us. You see, some of them rush to the earth (their church gatherings) to perform announcing services after eating with Jesus in heaven.

So, until we get to heaven and see how God, Jesus Christ, and the various angels dress, let’s see their dress-code in the ‘Men of God’.

Eagle Eye: Mikel Arteta ready to sell Aubameyang and Lacazette

Rumours around Arsenal has it that Lacazette and Aubameyang were dropped after in their 2021/22 league opener against Brentford.

Arteta was not impressed with their attitude in training, therefore the players relationship with Arteta has turned slightly sour.

Mikel Arteta is getting fed up with both Aubameyang & Lacazette at the club. After signing a new contract last summer, the player has become a shadow of himself.

Lacazette is being offered to Roma & Inter Milan respectively. Abraham & Martinez still on Arsenal’s radar.

How To Be An African Child part 2 By Evans Ivan

Moving on, your mouth should know it’s boundaries. Like I will reiterate, being an African Child can be confusing at most. Well, just know this. Never ever talk back to your parents when they are talking. Especially your mother.

In fact, if she is angry stand a couple of feet away. I can say for a fact that she will ask you why you are not saying anything. The most popular gesture is, “so I am insane now, talking to myself?”

No matter how valid your response is, keep it to yourself. If ever you feel the need to explain yourself, make sure you are standing close to the door. It should be open too.

I remember my cousin Benjamin was missed with a Pot when he tried to explain why he couldn’t wash dishes and tables
In short, it’s a greater sin to talk back. Better let her run her mouth until she is tired.

As kids we have always craved attention. An African child somehow doesn’t demand attention, it’s not yours. Your mother can’t be impressing you, your father, his family and the rest of the world.

If you see your mother standing on the fence talking to the neighbor don’t disturb her. If you want anything ask for it from a distance because if you come closer you’re asking for too much attention. Especially those mothers who wear pink morning gowns, they value their gossip.

Make the mistake of standing next to her, the slap you will receive will remind you that Jesus is your only true comfort.
I hope you got my point. I said ask for it from a distance, I did not say shout out to her. At one point I shouted, “mommy can I have the rice in the kitchen?”

I even regret seeing the rice in the first place. She called me later in the day and asked, “so who did you want to know there are rice in the house?

How could you have answered the question yourself? I just cried in advance knowing the belt was waiting for my butt.
If you need something that is inside the house, you should learn sign language. Only use gestures to ask for stuff in the house.

That reminds me, when your uncle visits and leaves you some money make sure your parents are not aware. Otherwise it’s not yours. That money will cover your feeding fee and groceries for the month.

Note: Never in your life invite your girlfriend to visit you at home whiles daddy is around. Myself and Benjamin were nearly beaten to death.

One last thing on that note, never you dare cry to go along with the visitors. Wait until they ask you to visit for the holidays or sleepover. I won’t say much, just keep that in mind.

Yaw Pee Yaw Writes: Let’s leave Serwaa Amihere alone

I do not see reason in the hullabaloo about Serwaa Amihere’s sexual life. In the first place, I’ve constantly stated that I do not care about what people do with their lives, especially in private; and if it does not affect the general public. It is none of my business.

Serwaa Amihere is single. There is no day that I’ve heard her say that she is even in a serious relationship. So what stops her from exploring in the quest of finding a suitor; which the Bible even support in 1 John 4:1.

Many of our ladies do what we blame our celebrities, slay queens, stars and daring ladies of doing, low key. Area ladies do worst than this. Many ladies are giving sex to area boys or other men free of charge in the name of ‘studying him’. Again, most girls date more than one man simultaneously. So if someone too would do same, but rather up it to a high tempo that needs men to pay huge before they get, I don’t see trouble with it. Some do it for love, others do it for fun, and another one might do it for survival. As I said, each plays the game according to how they see life.

Personally, I don’t buy into dating married people. However, I don’t also appreciate crying on a ‘broke boyfriend. If one wants it done, then it should always be done well. I will rather advise a female friend to date a ‘comfortable’ cheating man than mingling around a struggling dude always comforting with motivational quotes if that is the only options to choose from. Every venture should bring something home.

In the end, we have all sinned and each shall be judged according to their own deeds. Serwaa chose to ‘sin’ the way she wants it. Others are doing worst under cover. Also, others are busy criticizing her because she is living the lives they wanted to live, or jealous of her exploits, or sad that she has taken a far lead, or out of mere fact that it is another person else. For me, lambasting whatever action Serwaa took, which doesn’t affect anyone in any way, is a clear case of sinners crucifying another sinner for sinning differently. Very sickling!

How To Be An African Child Part 1 By Evans Ivan

Africa!

It is home, but one can never keep up with the bucket and half full of drama. If it ain’t this it’s that, or maybe everything all in one score. Our crazy existence. Let me tell you how to be an African child.

If you are a boy pay attention. Where I come from big boys don’t cry. Yes! Only the weak and cowards shed tears. Many of us have died from within because they were strong and courageous.

Look, to be a perfect African boy you shouldn’t cry when you fall. Regardless of how hard you fall just stand up and shake it off. It’s just a fall after all. You didn’t die, so why cry. Elders will even chant, “Kofi sore na woy3 barima” meaning to say “Get up and be a man”. Maybe we should be happy when we fall. Big boys do not cry.

When your mother beats you don’t you dare cry. Crying means you deserve more thrashing. Here’s the confusion, if you don’t cry they say you’re now stubborn. They call you “Ahomasuo” and will beat you even more until you drop a tear or two.

So what then? A professional African child is good at softening a mother’s heart. Don’t let catch you before you have something sweet for her. Rather wash all the dishes and clean the house before she gets cross with you. If you can’t, then run as far as you can until she feels sorry for starving you all day.

Note to self: She may feel sorry for you today, but she doesn’t forget. One day she’ll make you pay for your sins. Don’t you ever break anything in the house or come back home late. Don’t say I never told you.

No matter who is visiting. Even if it is your favorite uncle who always makes you sit on his lap. Never play in the house when there are visitors. In Africa furniture has a tendency to break in a child’s hands when there are visitors. If she beats you in the visitor’s presence they will shield you. So she will act as if nothing major happened. Wait until the visitors leave.
It doesn’t matter whether they stay a few hours or for the whole week. Your sins have been recorded in the black book. You will pay.

Watch out for the next part and learn how to be a perfect African child with your favorite writer, Evans Ivan.

Sometimes; Imperfections behind the veil. By Yaw Pee Yaw

Don’t show your good side and pretend to be whole

Don’t act a saint while you hide the devil in you

There are imperfections everywhere

You hide yours and trumpet mine

I fall, I’m not flawless, I know

I also know that you’re same

Imperfections behind the veil

The worst happens at the dark parts
