Hearts of Oak exit MTN FA Cup

Following their loss against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on January 22, the defending champions, Hearts of Oak, have been eliminated from the 2022–23 MTN FA Cup.

Owing to an Agyenim Boateng goal, the Phobians lost 0-1 in the opening half of their round of 32 match and were unable to tie the score.

After being given a penalty in the 97th minute of the match, Slavko Matic’s team was given with a tremendous opportunity.

Samuel Inkoom made two attempts from the penalty spot, but both times he was unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko won 2-1 at the Baba Yara Stadium despite a late scare from Division One team Benab FC.
