NDC Will Not Be Obstructionists In Parliament-Deputy Minority Whip

The deputy minority leader in parliament has debunk majority claim that the Minority in parliament will frustrate government business following 13/13 composition of the appointments Committee.

Majority in parliament earlier accused the NDC MP’s of an agenda calculated at obstructing the composition of the appointment committee.

Addressing the media, Deputy Majority leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin again accused that, the NDC MPs are seeking to compromise the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin to do the bidding of the opposition.

Responding to this on Accra based OKFM monitored mynewsroomgh.com, the deputy minority whip in parliament and Member of parliament for Banda, Ahmed Ibrahim said the minority has no intention and will not be Obstructionists In Parliament.

He argued that the NDC who accepted to be the minority in parliament based on the independent candidate  decision has given the NPP majority the maximum cooperation since parliament started work and so has it be.

‘What are we going to gain from frustrating Government business? he quizzed

Adding that Ghanaians want both side to work together as said by President Akufo-Addo therefore if something does not sit well with the majority, there is the need to dialogue to find solution, saying the Majority press conference was needless.
