Mfantseman thrown into shock, mourning following death of Ekow Quansah Hayford (Watch Video)

Residents of Mfantseman are in a state of mourning following the death of their Member of Parliament, Ekow Quansah Hayford.

He was shot dead by armed robbers this dawn when he was returning from campaign at dominase to his residence at Mankessim.

The former police officer is believed to have been attacked at about 1:00 am Friday morning by 6 armed highway robbers.

According to report, while the robbery was ongoing, the MP identified himself. This allegedly infuriated the robbers who blamed him for the problems being faced by people in the country.

His body has been deposited at the Saltpond Hospital in the Central region.
