Former Italy Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi dies at age 86
Former Italy Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi has died aged 86.
The media mogul and politician who led the country four times died at the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, according to Italian media.
He had treatment in April for a lung infection connected to an unreported diagnosis of persistent leukaemia.
The Italian electorate was drawn to his colorful demeanor and supported him despite claims of corruption and double dealing.
Four times he served as prime minister, and each time it appeared his political career was gone, he was able to come back.
Nine years after he was banned from public office for tax fraud, he was back in parliament, elected to Italy’s Senate before he turned 86 in September 2022
