Kumawu by-Election: NPP’s Ernest Anim wins seat

Ernest Yaw Anim, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate, won the by-election for Kumawu on May 23, 2023, and will now represent the constituency in parliament.

He won 15,264 votes, while Akwasi Amankwah of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), polled 3,723.

With 2,478 votes, the Independent Candidate Kwaku Duah came third while the other Independent Candidate, also known as Kwaku Duah had 62 votes.
