Fijai SHS headmaster reinstated after proven innocent

Kenneth Agbomodze, the Headmaster of Fijai Senior High School (SHS) in the Western Region, has been reinstated after the committee formed to investigate the situation exonerated him.

 

Mr Agbomadze received an indictment in April after the Service claimed he was charging illegal fees.

 

A committee was formed to look into the claims.

 

However, before the Committee completed its work, Fijai SHS stakeholders, particularly the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), objected to GES’ decision to interdict the headmaster, arguing that the fees had been agreed to be paid by parents and guardians.

 

The committee has now found out that the headmaster had no hand in the collection of the so-called unapproved fees and has therefore been reinstated by the GES through its Western Regional Director, Mrs. Felicia Agyeibea Okai.

 

“I have been directed by the Director General to re-instate you effective 8th May 2023 based on the outcome of the Investigative Committee’s Report on the alleged Collection of illegal Levies in the school,”
