Everton FIRES Frank Lampard
Everton has fired manager Frank Lampard after losing eight of their past nine games overall and struggling in 19th place in the Premier League.
After Saturday’s embarrassing 2-0 loss to West Ham, the former England midfielder was fired.
With only 15 points from 20 league games this season, the outcome puts Everton two points outside of safety.
Everton’s players received a day off on Monday following the defeat to West Ham, and they won’t be due back at Finch Farm until Tuesday.
Club legend Leighton Baines, who is in charge of the Under 18s, and Under 21 head coach Paul Tait are in line to run the day-to-day activities while the club looks for a new manager.
