He said the government is determined to create friendly environment for the youth to create their enterprises.
This, according to him, will reduce the over-reliance on the government for jobs and also lessen the burden on the payroll.
” So, the future for you is the most Important thing at the stage. We have through a period where most people look for jobs of government, etc That patrol is full. I can tell you that. Because we are spending some 60% of our revenue in remunerating some 650,000 people and that not sustainable. The question then here is weather UPSA has train you to be entrepreneurs and the question is where will i find the financing from etc”.
“But you do need to have the skill search to be able to do what you do. Our responsibility as government is create an environment of macro stability, currency stability, and ensure that you have access to relevant skills finance. So, the 2022 budget its going to focus on the youth and the budget. And tomorrow we will have a program here looking at what the youth demands and looking at how we can structure the next 2-3 years of the Ghana Obaatanpa program to ensure you become your own bosses and you will become entrepreneurs.”
” There is a new world out there, it is not a factory that employs ten people, but individuals like you employ two or three of four five people to create that energy for our country to transform.”
