Otokunor’s Driver Arrested By BNI In Connection With Recent Market Fires
The Driver of NDC Deputy General Secretary, Peter Boamah Otukunor has been picked by National Investigations Bureau (NIB) formerly Bereau National Investigative in connection with market fires.
Eric Adoglah was picked up by men believed to be from the NIB Monday dawn without any charge.
It is unclear what prompted the arrest but many believe the recent spate of market fires may be deliberately masterminded by elements within the opposition party.
A total of 5 market fires has occurred in Ghana in December alone. So far, the cause of the fire is unknown.
But Lawyers for the driver say the NIB has refused them access and information on the whereabouts 0f the driver.
Lawyer Adawudo speaking to TV3’s Komla Klutse said even though they don’t know the offence for which his client has been picked up, his source of information has it that the BNI is torturing his client to admit to things he ought not to concerning the election as his client’s boss has been vocal when it comes this year’s elections.
