Tarkwa: Youth Protest To Demand For Reinstatement Of Paramount Chief
The Youth of Wassa Fiase Traditional Council have hit the street to demand the reinstatement of Odeneho Akrofa Krukoko II as the paramount chief of Wassa Fiase Traditional Council to restore peace in the area.
The demonstration which started early hours of September 23, 2020 at UMaT Basic School through the principal streets of Tarkwa-Nsuaem municipality ended at premises of Wassa Fiase Traditional Council.
The protest by the youth was in support of the recent demonstration embarked by the some chiefs in Wassa Fiase Traditional Council, calling on the President Akufo-Addo to intervene in the chieftaincy dispute in traditional council.
This according to them will restore peace in the area.
Barely a month ago, some Chiefs in the Wassa Fiase Traditional Council hits the streets to register their displeasure of the traditional council for their inability to reinstate Odeneho Akrofa Krukoko II who has been cleared the the National House of Chiefs and Western Regional House of Chiefs after his conviction in 2002 by Sekondi High court for contempt.
