The National Communication Officer for the National Democratic Congress Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi has said that, coming Monday general elections will determined the Destiny of the country.

“The NDC party will come to power after the election to help stabilize the country from sinking”.

Summy Gyamfi addressing the public at Cape Coast during a Town Hall meeting on the People Manifesto at Cape Coast urged all the people in the Central Region to vote massively for the NDC government to determine the Destiny of the country.

 

NDC “fa no nyinaa” Policy a Big Scam And Deceptive- NPP

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have described the NDC led by John Dramani Mahama as a scam and mere deception to the good people of Ghana

According to the NPP, the then President Mahama stubbornly canceled certain allowances due nurses and teachers to facilitate their service

In a press conference today in Accra, the National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) stated that, Mr. Mahama and the NDC are confused and lacks ideas which has them desperate to level vague promises to Ghanaians

Nana Boakye added again that, Mr. Mahama’s campaign promises are ill conceived promises smuggled through the back door to add up to the litany of failed and uninspiring manifesto

He furthered that, the NDC’s “Fa No Nyinaa’ policy is a knee jerk reaction to the big announcement that was made recently by the scholarship secretariat to give thousands of Free SHS graduates to further their education.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced the incorporation of the “FA NINYINAA” policy for tertiary students beginning next academic year.

Contained in a statement and signed by the National Chairman of the party, Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, it noted that, the fusion of the “FA NINYINAA” policy into the Peoples’ Manifesto was premised on “the recommendation of the Education Policy Group of the party that the next NDC government absorbs the FULL school fees of Ghanaian students who will be admitted to tertiary institutions in the 2020/2021 academic year”.

The policy according to the National Chairman of the party will enhance the party’s commitment in absorbing “50% of the school fees of all tertiary students for the 2020/2021 academic year through the “KYEMUPE” policy, which will now apply to only continuing students in tertiary institutions in the country”.

NPP shoots down reports of Akufo Addo Taking $ 40,000 bribe

Deputy Campaign Manager of the ruling New Patriotic Party Dr Mustapha Hamid has shot down social media video trending that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has been caught red handed taking a bribe of $ 40,000 from a contractor.

According to him, this is a calculated attempt by the opposition National Democratic Congress wash down the hard won integrity of the President.

Recall that there is a video trending on social media that captures the President accepting a brown envelope with an undisclosed content from a man who went to visit him in his private office.

This some supporters of the NDC has characterized it to be a bribe been accepted by the President as a way to favor the said contractor who went to visit him.

Addressing at a press conference, Dr Mustapha Hamid indicated that this is just a way the NDC want to use to equate the bribe that was given to ex-President John Dramani Mahama by a Burkinabe contractor known as Kanazoure.

Catalog Of Lies In Npp Government Destroying Ghana – NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has accused the NPP government led by President Akuffo Addo of destroying mother Ghana by infusing grand deception to lie to the good people of the country

According to the NDC, President Akuffo Addo led administration has involved in hosts of corruption which is gradually draining the country low

In a press conference in Accra, the Member of Parliament for the good people of Ketu South, Fiifi Kwetey described the NPP government as fighter of corruption fighters

He added again that, this move by the Akuffo Addo led administration is a systematic attempt to destroy and lie to hypocrisy and hiding the corruption which can never be fought under his regime

Fiifi Kwetey furthered that, Akuffo Addo’s quest to fight corruption is nothing but just a gross corruption in the highest order that is endangering the very soul of the country

Touching on various promises made by the NPP government, he stated that, 1D1F, 1V1D and other promises made by President Akuffo Addo is a total deception

Police Personnel Threatens To Boycott Election Supervision Over GHC400 ‘Tsobo’

Some Police Officers of the Ghana police service are angry with Inspector General of Police for allegedly deducting Ghc 400 from the allowances which was supposed to be given to them on the election day.

According to them, IGP James Oppong Boanuh came on TV saying that, the Police administration is given each officer GHc1000 as allowances on the Election Day but the police administration only deposited 600 instead of Ghc1000.

They therefore called on the government to call on IGP to retain their balance.

The 2020 Election comes off on Monday, December 7, 2020 across the Country.

Just In: NDC promises to absorb full fees for 2020/2021 Tertiary students

The opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) has promised to absorb in full fees of Ghanaian students who will be admitted to tertiary institutions in the 2020/2021 academic year.

This is an enhancement of the “KYEMUPE” policy in the Peoples’ Manifesto.

A Press Statement issued and signed by the National Chairman said the “FA NINYINAA” policy was adopted based on the recommendation of the Education Policy Group of the party.

“This policy is an enhancement of our commitment in the People’s Manifesto to absorb 50% of the school fees of all tertiary students for the 2020/2021 academic year through the “KYEMUPE” policy, which will now apply to only continuing students in tertiary institutions in the country.” the statement by Mr ofosu Ampofo said.

The statement continue to say that the Presidential Candidate, John Mahama will in due course, highlight this enhanced package for Ghanaian students who’ll be admitted to tertiary institutions next year.

On Friday, 27th November 2020 at 10:22 p.m. I received the following short SMS message from an unknown SIM card telephone number 024 495 4900:

“We will all maddy (sic) the water.”

The true caller application disclosed the name of the person to be one IVAN NANA ADU. I sent back an SMS message in the following words:

“Ivan Nana Adu, go ahead. My safety is in your hands now that you have revealed yourself. Good night with regards in Jesus name.”

The 1992 Constitution enjoins every Ghanaian to defend it and that is what I am doing now as a citizen of Ghana with my advocacy on the President’s official response to me personally as an ordinary citizen after officially accepting my resignation from my previous office on account of the Government’s reaction for professionally conducting the Agyapa Royalties Limited Transactions Anti-Corruption Assessment Report. Come what may, I shall not be intimidated from defending the 1992 Constitution. Ghana First!

Policeman Detained For Stealing Coins At a Bank

A policeman, Sergeant George Amankwa, at Ajumako Enyan in the Central Region has been detained for stealing GH¢690 coins from a bank he was stationed.

According to police investigators, the supervising manager of Enyan Denkyira Rural Bank, Ajumako Agency reported some missing coins worth GH¢690 from the bank.

The bank had initially blamed the missing cash on two tellers, Hannah Ekua Obenewaa Appiah and Scholarship Assifuah Ninson.

However, the two denied the allegation levelled against them insisting that they balanced their accounts and could not fathom how the shortages occurred.

The bank Manager together with the police was forced to replay feed from the bank’s CCTV cameras where they saw Sergeant George Amankwa who was on duty at the rural bank on November 20, 2020, pilfering the said amount which was in coins from the drawers of the cages of the two tellers.

He was invited by the Divisional Commander ACP Owuahene Agyei Acheampong and in the presence of the Divisional Crime Officer DSP Awampaga, George confessed to stealing the money but said he had used it.

He was detained in custody after investigation caution statement was obtained from him.

 

Dec polls: NDC will win despite UG’s Survey-Mahama

Flagbearer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama says he is convinced the National Democratic Congress will win the December 7 polls.

According to him, the party’s internal polls suggest they have already secured parliament with majority of the 275 seats.

Speaking in the Northern region where is currently campaigning, the NDC flagbearer said Ghanaians have tried his government and that of President Akufo-Addo and can make better judgement.

“God is great and I’m sure that all of us have lived in this country for more than four years and we have seen the NPP government and we can compare it to the NDC government.

“An opinion poll was carried and more than 60% of Ghanaians say that they are worse off today than they were in 2016.

“NDC; I’m convinced will win the elections. As for the parliamentary elections, from our calculations and the opinion polls, we have won the majority in parliament already. And by God’s grace Yendi will be one of those seats we are going to win,” Mr Mahama said to the cheering crowd.

Meanwhile, the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana has projected that President Akufo-Addo will win the December 7 polls.

According to a survey published by the department, President Akufo-Addo will garner 51.7% while the NDC Presidential candidate will pull a little over 40% of the votes.

“When respondents were stretched to indicate the presidential candidate they would vote for in the December 7 elections, 51.7% declared for Akufo-Addo, 40.4% favour John Mahama and 1.4% would vote for Christian Kwabena Andrews, and 1.4 and the undecided are 3.7% (See Table 29),” the report released today said.

It added: “These voters have taken a firm decision to vote for these candidates in the election. When pushed to indicate how sure they are with the decision to vote for the candidates, a whopping 80.9% said they are extremely/very sure while 11.9% are relatively (somewhat sure) of voting for their candidate”.

 

2020 Election: University Of Ghana Survey Predicts One Touch Victory For NPP

Research conducted by the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana has indicated that the New Patriotic Party NPP is likely to win the upcoming presidential election in December.

The research spanned 100 constituencies purposively selected across all 16 regions with 11,949 respondents out of a targeted 12,000 in a random sampling manner

According to the survey, 51.7% of respondents said they will vote for the incumbent president Akuffo Addo while 40.4% opted for the flag bearer of the National Democratic (NDC) John Mahama

The survey which was carried out between November 12 and 22 this year was presented by Kaakyire Duku Frempong, a lead researcher on the project

Speaking to the press, the Senior Lecturer of the political science department of university of Ghana, Mr. Alexander Kaakyire Frimpong explained that 80.9% of respondents also believe the NPP lead government has delivered its promises made during the 2016 election campaign

However, he added that the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) came third in the hierarchy of the respondents’ decision with regards to their preferred party with 1.3%
