‘Yaa Boatemaa is mine’ Funny Face Fights Germany Based Baby Mama for Custody of their daughter- VIDEO

We woke up to another news from the camp of Ghanaian comic actor Funny Face.

Born Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng in a new video is calling for his baby mama in Germany to allow him to come for his first child, Yaa Boatemaa.

He claims his German baby Mama has been denying him of being the father of their child because of her current rich ‘Man’.

Funny Face called for a DNA test to prove the girl really is his daughter.

He vowed to fight for his children while he is alive.

Tonto Dikeh’s Ex-Boyfriend Prince Kpokpogri Drags Her To Court; Seeks N10 Billion Compensation

Ex-lover of Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh, Prince Joseph Kpokpogri, has dragged her and the Department of State Services (DSS) before a Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking the enforcement of his fundamental rights.

In the case dated September 20, 2021, and filed Wednesday, September 22, with Suit Number FHC/ABJ/CS/1092/2021, the plaintiff prayed the court for a restraining order stopping the DSS from further inviting him.

Kpokpogri in the suit sought the following reliefs: “A declaration that the invitation extended to the applicant through telephone call and a text message on Thursday, 16th September, 2021 by FCT Command of the Department of State Services (DSS) with office at No. 7, Gamal Abdel-Nasser Street, Off Julius Nyerere Crescent, Near Kapital Klub and Apartments, Asokoro, FCT-Abuja being under the supervision and control of the 1st Respondent in connection with an estranged romantic relationship between the Applicant and 2nd Respondent which the 1st Respondent knows is civil in nature contravenes Sections 34, 35 and 41 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) and Articles 4, 5, 6 and 12 of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights (Ratification and Enforcement) Act Cap A9, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 which guarantee the Applicant’s fundamental rights to dignity of human person, personal liberty and freedom of movement and same is unwarranted, illegal, unconstitutional, null and void.

“An order perpetually restraining the 1st Respondent (Director-General of DSS) acting either by himself or through his agents, officers and representatives from further inviting, pestering, harassing and intimidating the Applicant by way of telephone calls, text messages or letters asking the Applicant to report at FCT Command of the Department of State Services (DSS) with office at No. 7, Gamal Abdel-Nasser Street, Off Julius Nyerere Crescent, Near Kapital Klub and Apartments, Asokoro, FCT-Abuja or any other location whether within or outside the Federal Capital Territory Abuja in connection with an estranged romantic relationship between the Applicant and 2nd Respondent which the 1st Respondent knows is civil in nature.

“An order directing the Respondents jointly and severally to pay the Applicant the sum of N10,000,000,000 (Ten Billion Naira) as compensation for the mental trauma, emotional stress and severe damage caused the Applicant due to the invitation extended to him through telephone call and a text message on Thursday, 16th September, 2021 by FCT Command of the Department of State Services (DSS) with office at No. 7, Gamal Abdel-Nasser Street, Off Julius Nyerere Crescent, Near Kapital Klub and Apartments, Asokoro, FCT-Abuja being under the supervision and control of the 1st Respondent in connection with an estranged romantic relationship between the Applicant and 2nd Respondent which the 1st Respondent knows is civil in nature.”

No date has been fixed for the hearing of the case.

His suit came weeks after he was invited by the DSS for questioning.

 

Missing But Found Takoradi Woman Was Never Pregnant- Police

Police in the Western Region have said the Takoradi woman, Josephine Panyin Mensah, who went missing but found, was never pregnant as her family had claimed.

In a statement issued on Thursday, September 23, 2021, Police said base on the medical report available to them, “their findings are that the victim now a suspect was never pregnant within the period under review following thorough medical examination by medical doctors at Axim Government Hospital”

It said medical records at the Takoradi Hospital where she claimed to have gone for antenatal care also showed that she visited the facility without pregnancy in October last year.

The police report comes after a comparative attestation by the Western Regional Minister started discussion.

Tuesday, September 21, Declared Public Holiday

Government of Ghana has declared Tuesday, 21st September 2021 as a statutory public holiday.

A statement by the Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery, says the day marks the birthday of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah which is often declared Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day.

It added it should be observed as such throughout the country.

“The general public is hereby informed that Tuesday, September 21, which marks Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country,” the statement said.

Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day is a day set aside to remember and honour Ghana’s first
President.

MMDCEs: Dan Botwe Receives finalized list From Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo has settled the rundown of Metropolitan, Municipal and Chief Executives (MMDCEs) who are to serve in his subsequent term and has delivered it to the Minister.

The Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development, Daniel Botwe, received the rundown on Thursday morning.

In January 2021, Akufo-Addo directed all MMDCEs to stay at post until new ones are named.

Following nine months into his subsequent term, he is yet to report his MMDCEs, an improvement that has raised worries about the viable tasks of the metropolitan, civil, and region congregations.

 

Ghana’s Education Minister joins the advisory board of the University of Califonia

The Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, has been appointed to be a member of the Advisory Board of the Capacity Building Center (CBC) in the School of Education and Information Studies at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

With this appointment which is for a five-year term, Dr Adutwum joins other team members from academia, practitioners and policymakers who are committed to advancing local solutions to local problems.

This was contained in a letter of appointment dated 9th September 2021 and signed by Professor Walter R. Allen. PhD, Director of Capacity Building Center, University of California Los Angeles.

Dr Adutwum who is also a Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe is to collaborate to develop organizational capacity to enhance the common good by enabling institutions and individuals to participate in their communities and societies fully.

“Given your leadership in education in the US and Ghana, your deep understanding of the needs of youth, students and institutions in both communities, your advice and insight will enhance our programme design and approach”. The letter stated.

The Advisory Board focuses on the participatory process as it targets investments to contribute to the development and sustainability of institutions, communities and nations.

In an acceptance letter to UCLA, Dr Yaw Adutwum was full of praise to the management and board of the University for the honour done him as he pledged to work diligently to reciprocate his appointment.

He also pledged to collaborate with the team of advisors to do what they could to bring much change and improvement into their areas of operation for the good of the world.

Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum is a career educationist in the areas of research, administration and policymaking for more than two and half decades.

His huge tonnage of experience in the field of education over the past few years in the US and in Ghana has led to many world-class agencies admitting him to be part of its advisory boards.

His appointment in August 2021 to be part of a high-level Advisory Board for Mission 4.7, a new global initiative to put in place the vision articulated by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) on Education attest to the trust of the international community and other local agencies have in him.

Competitions not ‘do or die’ affair – Bawumia to Mahama

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has conveyed modest reaction to former President John Mahama over his ‘do or die’ remark.

The remark by the 2020 flagbearer of the NDC started public discussions with some Ghanaians blaming him for prompting his allies to savagery.

Police arrest Taxi driver subsequent to ‘admitting’ to ritual murders on TV

The Ghana Police Service has arrested a Taxi Driver who admitted to being associated with a few killings in the country.
