Signs you have fake friends

Here are some signs that you might have fake friends:

  1. They only reach out to you when they need something: If your friends only seem to contact you when they want something from you, but don’t seem interested in hanging out or spending time together otherwise, they may not be true friends.

2. They talk behind your back: If you hear from other people that your friends have been saying negative things about you, it’s a sign that they are not trustworthy or loyal.

3. They don’t support you: True friends are there for you when you need them, and will support you through good times and bad. If your friends are consistently absent or unsupportive when you need them, it may be a sign that they are not genuine.

7. They are unreliable: If your friends consistently cancel plans, show up late, or break promises, it may be a sign that they are not reliable or dependable friends.

Remember, it’s important to have friends who truly care about you and support you. If you suspect that your friends may not be genuine, it may be time to re-evaluate those relationships and focus on building friendships with people who share your values and respect you.

Government to Reintroduce Road Tolls

Government of Ghana is considering the reintroduction of road tolls.

Gov’t scraps collection of tools on roads

On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta delivered the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy Statement to Parliament. He stated the plan was intended to increase productivity and decrease environmental pollution.

It is also meant to reduce the heavy traffic that road tolls are found to cause nationwide, he said.

“Mr Speaker, our roads need fixing. Our roads are being fixed. It is true that more roads have been fixed and are being fixed over the last five years than any relative period in the entire history of our nation. We even want to do a lot more and this budget will cater for this,” Mr Ofori-Atta said.

“That is why for decades, government after government imposed and maintained tolls on some public roads to raise funds for road construction and maintenance. This is the situation in many countries.

“However, over the years, the tolling points have become unhealthy market centres, led to heavy traffic on our roads, lengthened travel time from one place to another, and impacted negatively on productivity. The congestion generated at the tolling points, besides creating these inconveniences, also leads to pollution in and around those vicinities.

“To address these challenges, the government has abolished all tolls on public roads and bridges. This takes effect immediately the Budget is approved (after appropriation or now?). The toll collection personnel will be reassigned. The expected impact on productivity and reduced environmental pollution will more than off-set the revenue forgone by removing the tolls,” Mr Ofori-Atta said.

Japanese hotel boss commits suicide; found out hotel’s spa bath water was changed only twice a year

When it was revealed that the hotel’s spa bath water was only changed twice a year, the Japanese hotel manager was compelled to apologize and was later discovered dead with a suicide note.

On the morning of March 11, Makoto Yamada, 70, was found on a mountain pass in the Fukuoka Prefecture city of Chikushino.

Emperor Hirohito once visited the 158-year-old, conventional inn Daimaru Besso in Chikushino, which was previously led by Mr. Yamada. Ten days before his demise on March 2, he had just left his position at the hotel.

Following an investigation in November, it was revealed that the legionella bacteria count in the bath water was 3,700 times the permitted limit. This resulted in intense scrutiny for the hotel. A serious type of pneumonia known as Legionnaires’ disease is brought on by Legionella.

In a car close to where Mr. Yamada’s body was discovered, police believe they found a suicide note.

I am very sorry, the letter purportedly read. ‘I am very sorry. I feel morally responsible for everything. Please take care of the rest.’

On March 10, Mr. Yamada was interrogated by officers for roughly six hours. The following day, he was called back in, but he did not show up at the police station.

It was discovered during the inn’s hot springs examination that the bath water was not changed weekly but rather only twice a year.

On March 8, the Fukuoka Prefecture government lodged a police report accusing the inn of breaking the Public Bath Houses Act by falsely claiming to change the bath water more frequently than it actually did.

On February 28, Mr. Yamada acknowledged, “I informed my staff it was OK not to change the bath water as fewer people were using it.”

Details on How IGP Dampare Led His Intelligence Unit To Arrest Imoro Sherrif’s Killers

Many were shocked to learn that Imoro Sheriff, a 22-year-old trumpet player in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) band, had been killed, and the subsequent military raid on Ashaiman sparked widespread condemnation of the excessive use of force by security forces.

The intelligence work that resulted in the arrest of the suspects responsible for the death of soldier Imoro Sheriff was carried out directly by the Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare, it has been revealed.

According to sources, the IGP joined the operation in Ashaiman to pursue leads, and on March 4, 2023, the perpetrators were arrested. On the same day, the police posted on social media about arresting the main suspects in Imoro Sherrif’s murder.

Imoro Sheriff was killed on March 4, 2023, in Ashaiman Township. In reaction, on March 7, a swoop by dozens of military personnel in Ashaiman resulted in the detention of 184 people and the discovery of possible drugs.

Social media users posted videos of police brutally beating some of the residents.

On March 8, 150 suspects were released after the Ghanaian Armed Forces confirmed authorizing the operation. On March 9, the final 34 suspects were declared innocent and released.

Imoro Sheriff’s girlfriend was questioned by the Ashaiman police in an attempt to find out more concerning the events surrounding his murder.

She was called, interrogated, and released after posting a self-recognized bond. Imoro Sheriff was buried on March 9 at the Military Cemetery in Accra’s Burma Barracks.

Imoro Sheriff’s girlfriend was questioned by the police, indicating that the investigation into his death is still ongoing and that officials are doing everything in their power to bring him to justice.

The suspects’ discharge without being charged might also mean that the team of detectives is still compiling information to make a strong case for the murderers.

Because it calls into doubt the professionalism and accountability of those tasked with protecting citizens, the use of excessive force by security forces during the swoop is reason for concern.

It is commendable that the police and military moved quickly to look into and arrest the suspects in the murder of Imoro Sheriff, and it is crucial that they keep working to bring those responsible to justice while also respecting the rights of everyone involved.

Clear signs Your Partner Is Afraid to Commit

Everybody has the potential to encounter a companion who is wary of commitment. When everything appears to be going smoothly in your relationship, it seems to suddenly come to a halt. It could happen that the relationship loses its appeal or seems to be stagnating. You ought to have a loyal companion who will stand by you in good times and bad.

An individual who struggles to commit to a relationship, job, purpose, or location is said to be afraid of commitment. Your partner will probably get to a point in the relationship where they are afraid to progress forward if they are scared.

It’s possible that they appear hesitant or afraid to commit to a long-term partnership. Planning for the future and progressing in your relationship may be difficult as a result.

These are signs your partner is afraid to commit

  1. Lack of communication

Communication may be difficult for partners who are afraid of commitment. They don’t want to talk about feelings or other intimate relationship-related issues.

Even after being together for months, your conversations may never wander beyond banal and humorous topics. You might assume that they are not acting in a supportive manner toward you or your life, but it could also be that they are super scared.

  1. Hesitant to discuss a future with you

If your spouse is unwilling to talk about the future with you, they may be afraid of commitment. They might initially accept it and then suddenly cease having those conversations. When you bring up the future, you may occasionally observe that they change the subject or provide deceptive responses. Without asking if you’d like to join them, your partner might arrange trips for themselves or with friends. They can also make plans for moving without worrying about where their partnership will go in the near future.

  1. Ignoring your calls and messages

Your partner may be scared of commitment if you don’t hear back from them on a regular basis. When they are getting ready for bed, at work, or otherwise occupied, it is okay for your partner to not answer or ignore your call. But if you don’t hear back after a few days, that’s a warning sign. It’s worth talking to your partner about if they frequently ignore you and don’t reply for days. They might not be aware of what they’re doing or think you want it that way. Having a conversation about how it makes you feel can help.

  1. Previous relationships always seem to end in the same way

If you know anything about these circumstances, think about when your partner’s previous relationships ended. You may have noticed that the previous relationships all appeared to terminate at the same time. They may not have lasted more than a month or a year, demonstrating that they prefer not to commit for an extended time frame.

  1. They last think of the relationship

Although they may worry about the relationship, a partner who fears commitment may put everything else before it. They’ll probably prioritize their job, acquaintances, and interests over you and your relationship. It demonstrates their fear of things becoming too personal.

  1. Having a History of Unavailable Partners

If your partner has a past of unfaithful partners, this could be a sign that they are reluctant to commit. They may have dated individuals who couldn’t or wouldn’t commit because they understood that it meant they didn’t have to. Someone who does not support the concept of a committed, long-term relationship may become apparent in this way.

Way to Go

There are some solutions available if your spouse is reluctant to commit. While working to overcome their fear, you can establish a positive connection with them.

  1. Talking through it

If you don’t talk to your partner about it, you won’t be able to confirm whether they truly do fear commitment. The best way to determine it is to communicate with them as there may be another explanation for their behavior. As you express your thoughts and worries, be truthful and sincere.

  1. Be Patient

It takes time for your partner to get over their fear to commitment. If you want it to succeed, you must be patient and give it time and practice. Even though you might have to move more slowly than you’d like, it can take time for them to change their perspective. It might not be the right connection for you if it takes longer than you can handle. You must take the time to consider whether you want to wait or whether you’ll instead experience resentment and irritation. It might be best to leave if you believe that unpleasant emotions will take over.

  1. Together, create new habits

You and your partner can work on forming new routines if you both want to get over your fear of commitment. I.e. spending time together on different locations among others
