Highlife music is good for the soul- Tagoe Sisters

Gospel music Twin sisters popularly known as Tagoe Sisters has argued that it is OK for Christians to listen to Highlife music created by non-Christian artists.

Lydia Dedei Yawson Nee Tagoe and Elizabeth Korkoi Tagoe speaking on Kingdom FM explained that the majority of the highlife music that some Christians despise contains very motivational lyrics, making it healthy for the soul.

The duo used highlife singers Amakye Dede and Nana Ampadu as an illustration, saying they have many good songs that have the ability to encourage and drive people just like them.

Tagoe sisters believes everyone is for God. “There is nothing immoral about listening to Highlife music because God lives in Nana Ampadu too”

“Most of the old musicians recorded good music, unlike the new crop of musicians. Comparing Highlife with Gospel music, it looks like we are all in the same thing because of the rhythm. We are in the same industry so we can’t say they are of Satan and we are the children of God”, the duo added.
