Bawumia, Chief Imam Arrive at Ejura
Vice President Bawumia and the National Chief Imam have arrived in Ejura following the incident that occurred on Tuesday leading to the dead of three.
The two leaders are expected to meet the bereaved families and also engage the youth and opinion leaders of the community as part of efforts to restore calm.
Citizens of the country since the occurrence of the incident has expressed their dissatisfaction over how the security men handled the crowed.
Meanwhile, government has named a 3-member Committee of Inquiry which will conduct an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the killings.
President Akufo-Addo on Wednesday, 30th June, 2021 ordered the interior Minister, Ambrose Dery to conduct a public inquiry into the matter.
