A/R: Driver Shoots Himself After Shooting a Painter To Avoid Mob Attack (Watch Video)

A driver believed to be in his 30s has shot himself after shooting a man who warned him against careless driving.

The unfortunate incident which occurred on Tuesday November 17,2020 has thrown residents and workers at Ayeduase into a state of shock and mourning

The victim identified as Amoah and a painter was shot three times in the stomach after returning a slap from the driver.

He then shot himself after he was surrounded by the police who had rushed to the scene to prevent a mob action.

Mr Amoah, had moved in to tell the driver to drive carefully on the busy road when he was caught in traffic.

Mr. Justice Attakorah an assembly member for Ayeduase, Kotei Twumduase who narrating the unfortunate incident said “there was a misunderstanding between two drivers at Ayeduase drivers which resulted to fighting between the two drivers”

“One guy called Amoah attempted to separate the fight but one angry driver entered his car and shoot our brother Amoah after he (the driver) turned the fight to him. He (the driver) shot himself dead after he realized and saw Police vehicle coming to the scene”.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at Morgue while the other person is responding to treatment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
