Tokyo 2020: Sports Ministry to give $3,000 to Samuel Takyi for winning bronze for Ghana

Ghana’s featherweight boxer Samuel Takyi will receive $3,000 from the Ministry of Youth and Sports for winning bronze at the ongoing 2020 Olympic Games.

The boxer for the first time since 1992 won this for his country after losing his fight to American Duke Ragan in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.

He joins Clement Quartey-1960 Silver, Eddie Blay-1964 Bronze, and Prince Amartey-1972 Bronze as only men to ever win Ghana an Olympic medal.
